Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Farmojo ("the Service"), operated by Mubangizi Moses ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Farmojo is an AI-powered farm management platform designed for smallholder farmers in Africa. The Service provides tools for livestock and crop tracking, task management, team chat, financial record-keeping, AI-assisted analysis, and offline-first data sync via a progressive web application.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Farm owners may invite partners, workers, and veterinarians to their farm. The inviting owner is responsible for managing access and permissions within their farm.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The Service offers a 30-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required for continued access. Payments are processed by Flutterwave and may include mobile money (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money) and card payments in USD.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' written notice.

5. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features such as farm briefings, crop and animal health analysis, market intelligence, and chat assistance. These features are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional agricultural, veterinary, or financial advice.

AI outputs may be inaccurate. You should verify any recommendations before acting on them. We are not liable for losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service (farm records, photos, chat messages, financial records). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of operating the Service and its AI features.

You must not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content. We may remove content that violates these terms without notice.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or farm accounts
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or security measures
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Service programmatically
• Share account credentials with unauthorized persons
• Use the Service to transmit malware or harmful code

8. Service Availability

The Service includes offline-first functionality. However, certain features (AI analysis, team sync, payment processing) require an internet connection. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of crops, livestock, or revenue, arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the subscription fees you have paid in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days to allow export, after which it may be permanently deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Uganda, unless otherwise agreed.
